These
instructions will make stars about 6cm across which can be used on the
tree, as window or mantelpiece decorations - wherever you like really.
To make this a really hassle free project why not buy one of our Christmas star beading kits from our shop. You
will need: Wire
(sturdy enough to hold its shape but thin enough to allow the beads to
be threaded on) 48 beads Thread or
ribbon Method: Take
a 38cm piece of wire, measure 6cm and fold the
wire over to hold the beads on as you thread. Thread all 48
beads on to the wire then leave a 2cm gap & fold the
wire to hold the beads in place. Bend
the
rest of the wire so that you have an even zigzag with 5 points at the
bottom and 6 points at the top. You need 4 beads on every
section of the zigzag. Now
bend the wire round
to form a star shape. Carefully unbend the 2 ends &
wrap the
longer piece of wire around the shorter several times & form a
loop
or hook for hanging/fixing. Thread a
ribbon through the loop if required. |
